The entire PlayStation Movie as well as TV Show on DevelopmentSony is making a plethora of PlayStation-related movies along with TV shows D2R Items. Over the last couple of years, Sony was focusing on its recently created PlayStation Productions. The company is currently engaged in at least seven known projects, many of which are way beyond the initial stage of simply a concept on a whiteboard.
Certain of them have been shot, others are in the process of preparing for shooting, some are in the writing phase The picture is clear. Naturally, PlayStation is really committed to this project, something that can't be claimed about the many other studios who are trying to adapt video games.
PlayStation Productions released its first project in the last quarter of this year, in the form of that long-awaited Uncharted. A film-based adaptation of Naughty Dog's beloved game has been in making for over 10 years, and has been in discussions with a variety of writers, directors, and actors.
The film's finale ended being a starring role for Tom Holland in the role of Nathan Drake and although the film wasn't a huge hit with critics, it pulled in some decent money at the box office and also sets the stage for an unfinished sequel, meaning it's likely more live action Nathan Drake adventures are on the horizon at some point. An upcoming Uncharted sequel is far from the only thing Sony has to do, though.
